LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL MEASURED
WHY IS THIS APPROACH UNIQUE?
We are probably the only agency using a fact-based leadership assessment and development tool throughout the entire process.
This diagnostic tool is the only one attitudinal assessment that reveals:
- the current leadership mindset
- the current leadership potential ability for motivating and inspiring not only others but also yourself to take positive, purposeful action and achieve success,
- stress reaction patterns and in what way someone can tap into non-stress reaction patterns even when in stress.
This assessment differs from personality assessments because it is not intended to label a person and have them work well within that label. It delivers insights that leverage your leadership effectiveness and how to improve it.
THE HIDDEN PROCESS BEHIND HOW WE LEAD
The way we react to situations and persons is the result of a chain reaction within ourselves. Our brains are constantly at work and we use our THOUGHTS to interpret the situation we are confronted with. These thoughts are not neutral. They are influenced by our core beliefs, our frame of reference that has been formed throughout the years based on our experiences and education. We have developed a kind of mindset that is made up of a set of lenses by which we look at the world we live in and situations we are confronted with. As a result of how we think about a situation, we experience EMOTIONS. We feel excited, anxious, confident, happy, threatened, ... and it is this feeling that determines how we REACT. Do we defend ourselves, judge others, create partnerships, go into conflict or give autonomy and trust to others?
THE 7 MINDSET LEVELS
What we do or not do is visible not only for ourselves but also for the outside world. Our thoughts and emotions, however, aren't. They can occur outside our awareness. By becoming aware of the inner dialogue we are having and our thought - emotion an action pattern, we can increase our awareness and our consciousness. By doing so we can become more self-aware and reduce our stress-reaction pattern and transform it into a more positive, constructive way of seeing things and thus handling situations.
ANABOLIC AND CATABOLIC LEADERSHIP
Leadership is simply an interaction where influence occurs. The influence can be positive or negative or in other words anabolic or catabolic.
Anabolic leadership is constructive, expanding, fueling and growth-oriented. It helps people to move forward and achieve positive, long-term, successful results. Anabolic leaders have a more complete and conscious view of what is going on around them and can more easily come up with solutions and innovations.
Catabolic leadership is draining and resisting although it can create short term results. Catabolic leaders only see a limited view of situations and this reduces the choices available to them. In the long term, catabolic leadership demotivates and disengages.
Great leaders are not only able to motivate, inspire and bring out the greatness in others, but also in themselves.
